24 March is World TB Day
Today on world TB day we recognise the large burden of TB in African populations, including young children and adolescents. This burden encompasses TB disease as well as subsequent long term sequelae especially chronic impairment of lung health. PATS joins the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS) in calling for strengthened strategies to actively detect and treat TB so as to break the cycle of transmission and reduce this burden.
